This is the thin (shorter) lock nut that was used from 1905 to 1923 on Harley Davidsons with the 1-1/8" fork stem. It will also fit the 1923 - 1926 stems. 1923 - 1926 Harleys used a taller nut (2759-21) which left less of a gap showing on the stem. This nut also has a rounded top edge, which was used on all of the J/JD's from 1905 to 1929. In 1930, Harley started using a nut that was flat on the top for the VL's.
