Steering Head Casting Fits 1948 and up steel casting for stock 30º rake.

  • 1) Slide 1/2" diameter 5"-6" long rod through neck casting into lock casting for alignment for easier removal of dowel pin.
  • 2) Tack weld 3 corners on both sides.
  • 3) Remove dowel pin as quickly as possible to prevent seizure in castings.
  • 4) Finish weld.
  • 5) If shrinkage occurs because of welding, clean up lock pin bore with .500 reamer.
