cleanliness, the holders for cracks and cleanliness, and the collector spool for cleanliness. If these parts are in good mechanical condition, but are covered with oil they should be cleaned with gasoline. To clean, wash the brushes and holders. The collector spool is cleaned by placing a gasoline soaked rag through one of the brush holder openings in the magneto; then turning the magneto slowly and carefully. If the magneto still fails to produce a spark, an internal defect is likely, and the magneto should be sent to the nearest Bosch branch.
